Mac OS X & German Warfare?

Apple logoThis week Mac OS v10.5 Leopard was released. In case you have no idea what I am talking about: it’s like the new Windows for Apple computers. But it actually works. And it’s cheaper too. (Although you do need about a million Dollars to buy an Apple computer that can run it.) Apple computers are sold worldwide by a billionaire on sneakers.

The odd thing about Leopard is that it shares its name with a West-German Tank. Coincidence?

Mac OS X v10.0 Cheetah shares its name with a German anti-aircraft cannon tank.

Mac OS X v10.1 Puma shares its name with an Italian AFV.

Mac OS X v10.2 Jaguar shares its name with a German Tank Destroyer.

Mac OS X v10.3 Panther shares its name with a Nazi Tank.

Mac OS X v10.4 Tiger shares its name with a Nazi Tank.

So why is this? Some say because Mac OS X is as reliable as the German army. Others say it is because they try and conquer the world.

I personally wonder whether the people at Apple ever realized this at all… :)
