More Dutch Music Pride, from 1988

This what looks like “Hiphop with a moustache” called Holiday Rap was a number 1 hit in 35 countries in 1988. MC Miker G had it all: the houses, the women, the cars, the heroin… and now he is a junkie. He lived under an Amsterdam parking garage for a decade, and is now a full time resident in a homeless shelter, supposedly working on his come-back.

It won MusicMunch’s contest for being the worst video clip of 1988. But my question to you is: did this predecessor to P.Diddy and Tupac ever make it across the Atlantic?
