MySpace, in the Butt!

[youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q-7-ni4JNj4]

The first minute is rather boring, so you can skip that. Just know she just met a guy she knew from MySpace, and her mom is not amused. Mind you:

  • This girl is 18 but she lives at home! And she has to tell her mom where she is!
  • The adult girl gets grounded and does not even threaten to move out!
  • Taking a car away for a week is considered cruel punishment in the US I’ve heard.- Her brother actually enjoys her crying and puts this video on youtube! Supposedly it has already generated 1,5 million views on MySpace and 100.000 on YouTube. What a nice way to show your family to the world.

Why is that guy so funny? :)

Poor girl haha…. When I got grounded I would really have everything taken from me. But I also moved out when I was 17. So how do they “ground” other people around the world?

BTW, Butters is awesome! What what in the butt!

I don’t think “grounding” ever made it across the Atlantic. I do however remember I was 15/16 that if my grades went down my parents would not allow me to go to pubs in the weekends for a while. But I guess in the US you are not allowed to do that anyway. :)
And high school students do not drive cars here, but nobody “gets their bicycle taken away” or something. :)

Like I said before…. I was raised in the wrong country. The only time I drove was when I took a car. No permission was given. But I’ve moved on since those days. I’ve got my own car now =P

It must be nice to have your own car, however, there is always the risk of being rear-ended. ;)
What? what?

Having my own car is nice. Do you have nice public transportation over there? We don’t here.

I think compared to AmTrak and Greyhound: it is pretty good.
However, the average Dutch morning traffic jam twice as long than the country is wide.
880km in one morning was a new record last winter, and mind you the Netherlands is just slightly larger than New Jersey.
It is what 30 years of hippie governments will do to you. :) Lately they discovered traffic jams are not all that good for the environment either, so they are thinking about some extra tarmac.

Do you have only a one lane road in your country? That’s no good. I couldn’t imagine being in a traffic jam that was 880km long… That isn’t too far from the length of California

It was all jams summed. :)
This is what it looks like, there is even a train on the picture!

Wasn’t quite as bad as I imagined, it looks like they are moving some what. I love motorcycles. I have one and it’s so nice to be able to just cut through everything =)
